Welcome, and thank you for purchasing Apprentice. We believe that this the most comprehensive and up-to-date Mac-only source code and utility collection available. Features of this new release include:
- All new and/or updated source code! There are no source code repeats here. All the source code in release 4 is either entirely new or has been updated for this release. Since there has been so much new material created in the past few months, we've been swamped! There's not enough room to include source code from previous Apprentice releases, so make sure you keep them around for future reference.
- Prograph Classic! Included for the first time on Apprentice is a fully functional version of Pictorius Prograph Classic. Check out the cool features of this totally graphical programming environment. Many examples are also included for your perusal.
- New Technologies! Apple has recently announced new technologies available for Macintosh, and we have examples galore! You'll find QuickDraw 3D, Open Doc, and other new technology source code samples.
Because many companies now provide documentation in portable document format (PDF), we have provided a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader on the CD-ROM. The installer is located in the Miscellaneous folder, located in the Utilities folder (Apprentice:Utilities:Miscellaneous:).
If you did not buy your copy of Apprentice directly from Celestin Company, look in the "About Celestin Company" folder for registration information.
For an index of the disc, double-click the file named Index of Contents. This will open up an index using the Easy View utility. For more indexing options, open the Index folder. You will find several indexes of the disc's contents. Try them to see which method fits your style.
